Meet Justin 

You will meet Justin who lives with his family in this fourth-generation family-owned period home. Growing up it was an active dairy farm where Justin recalls spending many a school holiday milking cows, driving tractors, feeding animals and digging holes. Situated on an estate of idyllic landscaped gardens and magnificent parkland, located in the historic region of the Munster Blackwater Valley. After a career in the management of prestigious hotels around the world, Justin returned home with his wife Jenny in 2000 and took over the running of this magnificent period home as a perfect retreat for guest experiences. 

About the Experience 

On arrival Guests will meet in the house for coffee, tea and own distilled small batch Gin tipples, where owner and shooting expert Justin will give a full shoot safety briefing. The Clay Pigeon Shooting will take place in the magnificent setting of this historic house on the lawn field. Shotguns, 50 cartridges per person and ear defenders will be supplied together with insurance for the event. After shooting house chef Steve will prepare a 3 Course Lunch - main course, pudding and tea or coffee which you will enjoy in the main house or on the dining terrace.  Made also with seasonal ingredients from their own walled garden and local artisan produce, this clay pigeon shooting and lunch experience will create a lasting memory of the unique taste and flavour of this idyllic area.

+ Booking Cancellations & Refunds

If for whatever reason you unfortunately need to cancel your booking, you can do so up to 48 hours or more before the day of the experience. Inside 48 hours, we cannot offer a refund as our Host Members have been busy purchasing food or preparing for your visit. To request cancellation, simply email us directly bookings@goodfoodireland.ie provide your booking number and name. We will confirm the cancellation of your booking and the full amount of the booking cost refunded to your card. Please note it may take up to 12 working days for the money to reach your credit card statement.

+ Dietary Restrictions

Almost all Host Members can accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies, including vegetarian and gluten free options. Please be sure to outline yours at the time of booking, so our Host Members are aware and can prepare for your visit.

Some experiences may include alcohol in the total booking price for guests of legal alcohol age. However, it may also be an optional add on for some experiences. If so, the price will be clearly visible on the experience profile page.

All our Host Members are part of a like-minded family network. We are all aware of the importance of your safety. Each Host Member has had an on-site inspection, based on strict quality criteria, prior to being approved and recommended by Good Food Ireland.
